For your poker plans, have your identity documents ready before you proceed. OLG requires identity verification for Casino, Sports or Group Play, deposits, withdrawals and adding winnings to your e-wallet, so the check affects both funding and using your account.

What do you need to do before depositing?

Complete the identity check before attempting to fund your account. OLG is open to players in Canada, with a minimum age of 19.

How do you get the OLG app on your phone?

You can get the Android app through Google Play or the iOS app through the App Store. Choose the store for your device, then check compatibility before downloading.

  • iOS compatibility: the App Store lists a minimum software requirement, so check your phone’s software before downloading.
  • Download size: the App Store lists the iOS app at about 120.3 MB; check your available storage before installing it.
  • Update date: the latest iOS update listed in the App Store came on October 13, 2026.

When does your account become dormant?

Your Player Account becomes a Dormant Account after 36-consecutive months without a Player-Initiated Transaction. The rule concerns transactions, so keep that distinction in mind if you return after a long break.

The exception is an account belonging to someone registered for My PlayBreak for OLG.ca: the dormancy rule above does not apply to that account.
